José Ventura, born in Barcelona, began to develop his career in a creative role in the hairdressing sector. Hairstyling serves as a bridge in carrying out image and training campaigns worldwide, his creations have been inspired by different artistic disciplines such as sculpture, painting and travel trajectory, focusing its attention on nature as the main source of inspiration.
J. Ventura is an international stylist with over twenty years of experience in the creative image, fashion and entertainment sector. Until now, he has focused on making a name for himself in Europe, North America and Latam.
Additionally, Ventura as his friends like to call him, has produced and worked in twenty-five countries, constantly shifting between events for international brands such as Celine Paris, Karen Millen, Diesel, Berhska, Schwarzkopf, Ghd, Baby liss or along with the prestigious Parson school of design.
J. Ventura is continuously active on stage, participating in conventions and catwalks within the most important fashion weeks, such as New York, London, Milan, Madrid or Barcelona.
Equally important, Ventura repeatedly collaborates with entertainment, theater, dance and performing arts companies, most recently creating the costumes for the world renown dancer Jesús Carmona, in his latest show; “
Baile de Bestias” made together with his partner, the Valencian designer
Visori.
In recent years, Ventura has been back and forth between Ibiza and Mexico by the hand of
Ritual Magic Designer, which has given him the opportunity to collaborate with people such as
Guy Laliberté, founder of the prestigious Circ du Soleil, or at international music festivals such as
Burning man as well as the highly regarded
Sonar.
J. Ventura is currently in charge of the wardrobe, hairdressing and make-up department of Nacho Cano's new project, *Malinche” The Musical, based in Madrid. Together with his team formed by the fashion designer Visori and the make-up artist De María, they create the aesthetic image and all the designs for the musical, which will represent miscegenation and the union between the two worlds, the Spanish and the Aztec, through the love story between “La Malinche” and Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés.
Overall, Jose Ventura manifests himself as the strongest and most creative bet leading any image creation project, featuring three essential words in the triangle of life:
